It has often been said that ice cream as a treat puts a smile on peoples faces. The Antonelli family has always been keen to try and help others and put a smile on faces. However this winter it has not just been about making ‘Cones for the Connoisseur’, supplying high quality ingredients for making ice cream and providing ice cream training courses. In a bid to do something to help others less fortunate than ourselves we have donated funds to StreetLink.
What is StreetLink?
For those of you who have not heard of StreetLink and the work this charity provides, here is a little insight into how StreetLink works…
“StreetLink is a website, mobile phone app and telephone service through which people can take positive action when they see someone sleeping rough by sending an alert that connects that person to local services for support.
StreetLink is an effective way to take positive action that has longer-term results. It can enable services to reach rough sleepers more quickly; this has positive impacts on their safety and wellbeing.”
This description is taken from the StreetLink website where you can read more information and their FAQs. StreetLink aims to help rough sleepers over 18 years old to access services to support them, with the objective of reducing rough sleeping across England and Wales.
We are pleased to be able to report that as a result of those responding to our Christmas email, we have donated £1000 for StreetLink. Thank you to all those who responded.
