We are both grateful and bittersweet to announce that Josef Boni, our esteemed Commercial Manager, will be taking a step back from the industry at the end of March 2025, as he begins his well-deserved next chapter.
Although Josef is retiring, you will be pleased to know that he is not saying goodbye forever! He will still be involved in the Antonelli business, and our lucky clients may even see him around from time to time.
Josef has been with us at Antonelli since 2020 and is a key member of the team. He has spent his time with us building vital relationships with clients and colleagues alike and lending his unrivalled experience and knowledge to our team and for that, we will be forever grateful.
As many of you will already know, Josef has had a long and successful career and is a familiar and well-respected character across the industry. His experience is extensive and spans all aspects of the industry from manufacturing and retailing to sales and technical roles. He is highly regarded as a leading ice cream expert in the UK & Irish ice cream markets and has undoubtedly helped many businesses in the UK and Ireland with their ice cream manufacturing and retail, including many of our valued customers.
From his roots scooping ice cream and gelato at his family’s parlour, his many achievements across the decades include the creation of over 50 exciting flavours back in the 1980s, a role as National President from 1998 - 1999, as well as roles on numerous national judging panels. We can surely say that he knows the ice cream and gelato industry inside out!
To Josef from all of us who work with him at Antonelli, our clients, and indeed the industry as a whole, we will miss your passion, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge. This isn’t goodbye forever, but more the perfect opportunity for us to thank you for your many contributions. We wish you well on your new chapter and we hope you enjoy spending more time with your family and partaking in the sports you love!
For our customers, it will of course be business as usual as you remain in the safe and experienced hands of the Antonelli team.
We are pleased to confirm that Viv Watson will continue to look after accounts in Scotland with support from others in the business (and sometimes maybe Josef himself!). From the beginning of April, Mark Antonelli will resume responsibility for our Irish accounts. The transition has been carefully planned, and the team is on hand to answer any queries you might have about the changes, our products, and how we can support your business now and in the future.
