In a unique interview with one of the original Antonelli Brothers - Roland Antonelli - we show you an insight into how the industry has developed since the Eccles bakery first opened and even before that when Roland worked in his grandfather's family buisness. The changes that have been witnessed during this period demonstrate the passion of our family to not just survive, but grow one of the few remaining ice cream cone making businesses in the UK. As a family, we have strived to keep our customers - ice cream makers, wholesalers, retailers and farmers alike, supplied with 'Cones for the Connoisseur' and latterly ice cream ingredients from world leading flavour house MEC3. We have succeeded in building our relationships with customers across the whole UK from Scotland to the South West and even beyond our shores, through rationing, recession and referrendum. As the only UK manufacturer left making waffle cones, sugar cones and wafer cones as well as a wide range of decorated cones and alongside holding the sole UK distributor licence for supplying MEC3 ingredients we love what we do and who wouldn't with ice cream at the heart of their business? With continuing investment in our site, facilities and most importantly our people, we will continue to invest, inspire and innovate for decades to come.
